Students and their responsibilities

  • Attend classes and tutorials as per the allocated timetable and scheduled timings.
  • Submit assignments and assessments on time, following faculty instructions for submission.
  • Interact with teaching and non-teaching staff in a respectful manner.
  • Explore various opportunities provided by the college to expand their learning and personal growth.
  • Utilize the library, canteen, and participate in sports activities, read notice boards, and gather with friends during free time without disrupting the college's overall discipline.
  • Promote an active academic learning spirit and holistic engagement in classrooms and tutorials.
  • Be mindful and appreciative of the caste, gender, religious, regional, and intellectual diversity in the college.
  • Remember that they represent the values and ethos of the college while participating in college events and programs.
  • Carry their identity cards while in college, applying for a duplicate if lost or damaged.
  • Regularly check notices on various college notice boards and websites.
  • Carefully read each email sent by the college to their registered email IDs.
  • Timely submit all information requested by the college via email or other means.
  • Help maintain a clean campus and dispose of waste in the appropriate bins based on the Color-Coding Scheme (Green: Biodegradable, Blue: Non-Biodegradable).
  • Follow the rules and regulations of the Library, Computer Centre, and Sports.
  • Report any undesirable or suspicious activity on the College Campus to college officials.
  • Hand over any lost items found on the College Campus to the administrative office.
  • Foster friendly and amicable relations with fellow students and promote the same spirit among the student community.
  • Play sports only in designated areas.
  • Avoid creating disturbances near classrooms during teaching sessions.
  • Behave respectfully toward faculty members, both in person and through electronic channels.
  • Avoid removing notices from the notice board.
  • Obtain permission from authorized personnel before moving college equipment, gadgets, or furniture.
  • Refrain from defacing, destroying, mishandling, or vandalizing college property.
  • Abstain from smoking, consuming liquor, narcotic substances, tobacco, or intoxicants on the College Campus, as these are serious and punishable offenses.
  • Not engage in or promote activities like ragging, eve-teasing, and sexual harassment, which are also punishable offenses.
  • A Student attending at least 75% of the total number of classes* held shall be allowed to appear at the concerned Semester-end Examinations subject to fulfilment of other conditions laid down in the regulations.
  • A Student attending at least 60% but less than 75% of the total number of classes* held shall be allowed to appear at the concerned Semester-end Examinations subject to the payment of prescribed condonation fees and fulfilment of other conditions laid down in the regulations.
  • A Student attending less than 60% of the total number of classes* held shall not be allowed to appear at the concerned Semester-end Examinations. (*Such attendance will be calculated from the date of commencement of classes or the date of admission, whichever is later. Calculation of attendance percentage shall include all the courses offered in the concerned semester).
  • Meet the minimum required attendance (as per University rules) to participate in sports at any level (state, national, or international).
  • Attend specified college functions and events, including Foundation Day Celebrations, Annual Cultural Festival, Sports Day, NCC Day for NCC Students, NSS Day for NSS Students, the Annual Day Function, and other college events.
  • Obtain clearance from the college based on their attendance record before University examinations.
  • Notify the Principal/Teacher In charge in writing if not attending classes for more than four consecutive weeks; otherwise, their names will be removed from the college rolls.
  • Apply for leave in advance and submit it to the Principal in case of illness. Produce a medical certificate issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner, signed by a parent, and countersigned by concerned teachers within one week of returning to the college. Students should also submit fitness certificates upon resuming classes.
  • Strictly refrain from using mobile phones during lectures, as any violation of this rule will result in disciplinary action.
