WEAKNESSES:

Lack of adequate awareness among the competent authority of the Government in general and the stakeholders in particular.

Most of the students suffer from their communication skills as far as language is concerned as required by the industry.

Reference books for vocational trade and practical were very less.

OPPORTUNITIES

Cent percent placement assured course.

B.Voc. is one of the unique courses which offers our students vertical mobility to higher education as well as job opportunity.

Students with a B.Voc. degree have various scopes in the Hotel, Hospital, Travel, Railways, Banking & Airlines sectors.

CHALLENGES:

Laboratory maintenance is very expensive.

Parents feel that vocational courses are inferior to general stream courses.

As this course is a self financing one, it becomes difficult for the college to upgrade the infrastructure solely based on the fees being collected from the students.

Resources to be generated from all the stakeholders as course fees are not affordable by the students hailing from the economically weaker section.

The SWOC analysis helps to identify the areas for improvement and growth, which will be addressed in line with the department’s mission and vision.
